"Sport World" Track Designer
BUILD IT - DRIVE IT!
From the comfort of your PC you can design your perfect Scalextric layout before you get down to
actually laying the circuit down. If you are planning a fully landscaped circuit then, even
better, Track Designer allows you to fully populate your track environment with trees, hedges,
pitside buildings, commercial buildings, extra cars, borders, cameras, fencing and more.
Multiple choices are available for many of the scenery options. For example, in the Fencing
category, there is wire catch fencing, concrete barriers, armco and straw bales. For Trees
you may choose from fir, oak, palm, cedar, etc.
Terrain forming options are available. So you can design you own hill climb and dare devil ridge
racers circuit! Whilst you are building your layout you can take a guided tour from a race car
perspective just to see what it will be like when completed. So addictive you won't want to
stop. Hours of creative fun that you can put to practical use. |

Scalextric Sport Slot Car Track Designs
These track layouts were originally posted on the
Scalextric English website under News -
Announcements. They are alternative designs made from a Circuit 4 track set with one or two pieces
left over.
(No newer layouts have been posted, either to the news area, or to the new layouts area (update - the
layouts area is no longer there).)
These first four were posted on May 12, 2003.
 |
Around The Outside
If you have a large space this design might be what you're looking for.
A long straight down one side and a complicated 'esses' on the other side.
There's plenty of room to put scenery in the middle. |
 |
The Clamp
A simple design in a small square area, saving space. This easy to use
layout has easy access to all corners. |
 |
Double Flyover
Here's a layout that looks bigger than you think might be achievable with the
circuit 4 inventory. A flyover across two separate sections of track with
the bonus of a long straight section to test your skill on the downhill approach
to the bend at the end of the flyover. |
 |
Long Way Round
A long circuit suitable for Le Mans and GT racing with a few tricky esses thrown
in to slow you down a bit! |
These four were posted on June 18, 2003.
 |
Shower Head
Nice and easy but watch out at the double cross-over twisty section! |
 |
Smirk
If the only space you have is long and narrow then this may suit you. Long
straights and nowhere is out of reach to retrieve your crashed car! |
 |
Trail Blazer
You'll need a lot of space for this giant sprawling trail blazing circuit. A
long twisty section through the rally gorge under the fast fly over. |
 |
Three Legs
A three-legged set of hairpins to test your driving skill. The repetitive
loops allow you to hone your braking skills and power slides lap after lap after
lap! Have fun. |
