We here at Sport Craft Auto Miniatures^® are proud to offer the Scalextric "Sport" track system.  This is a well thought out, planned, and engineered system designed for the home slot racing enthusiast.  Whether you are just starting out in this racing experience, or especially if you are planning to make this a hobby, the "Sport" track system has many great advantages and features.  Gone are the round track tabs of the former track, replaced now by square snap tabs that slide in more easily.  The track material is a somewhat flexible vinyl which snaps together quickly and can also be disassembled quickly.  The track surface is almost as smooth as the surface of Carrera^® track.  Another improvement in the "Sport" track is a slightly deeper slot to better accommodate other slot car brands.  Further, your current Scalextric track is not obsolete, the "Sport" system makes an adapter track so you can connect the new track to the old track.  The track width is the same so the track will have a similar appearance.  Read more below about the advantages of Scalextric's "Sport" track system and the computer linked RMS PS Interactive racing software.

Sport - a new meaning for Scalextric racing. For over forty years Scalextric has been seen as a toy, a game or a pastime, however in recent years Scalextric (slot racing) has been viewed more and more as a Sport.  The Scalextric Sports racer has made increased demands for better cars with improved handling and superb detail.  These demands have been met, and in many areas surpassed, by Scalextric.  However, as with all motor racing drivers, the Scalextric Sports racer requires the optimum racing surface to achieve the full potential form their racing machines - Scalextric Sport Track provides just that!

As well as having a refined racing surface, the new Sport track also has a push-lock connection which provides a positive track linkage ensuring superior electrical contact: imperative for efficient racing.   An added advantage of the Sport track connection is that the assembly of a racing circuit takes approximately one third of the time when compared with the Scalextric Classic track system.

The "Sport" range offers the latest technology in slot racing and offers even greater realism, fun and simplicity.  The concept applies to the engineering of both cars and track and is a departure from the traditional slot cars in terms of quality, precision and action.  While the cars are more dynamic than ever the track has taken a real leap forward with new overtaking bends, eight player racing and flying leaps just like World Rallying.
