Ninco Home Slot Racing Sets

Ninco scale racing products are made in Spain where the hobby is very popular, especially for the WRC Rally enthusiasts.  Ninco products are very well made and they use a flexible vinyl material similar to Scalextric so the track is somewhat flexible.  This feature prevents breakage and permits some flex in the turns if you choose to create a gentle banked curve.  Ninco track is a full inch wider than Scalextric, but not as wide as Carrera track.  We stock the most popular Ninco slot car race sets, offering you a variety of choices to match your budget.  Check out the details of all the Ninco race sets we stock below.

New from Ninco "Single Racing" Kit #4 loop track.  This is an interesting option; the kit comes with two simple single lane loops designed to fit into your existing slot race track.  It enables a single competitor to drive your layout in one direction then loop back entirely in the other direction, virtually doubling your layout.  This is especially appealing to Pro Rally fans and Hill Climb enthusiasts who race against the clock instead of each other.  It is a great idea, just the ticket for the enthusiast to stay in top form between race meets.

Popular Ninco Upgrades

There are a couple of upgrades you can make to your standard Ninco race set.

First, you can add a second transformer which supplies independent power to each lane of your track and eliminate power surges to one car when another car spins out.  This requires Ninco's special dual power track, a second transformer, and two small adapter plugs (NIN10306) for the controllers (we stock these items).  This upgrade is especially beneficial if you decide to expand your track significantly.

Second, Ninco's changeover (lane changer) tracks are an economical accessory which adds a fun dimension to racing.  These pieces are sold in pairs and must always be used in pairs to maintain proper electrical circuitry.  Item NIN10111, sold separately.

Ninco Track comparisons

Ninco Track sections are almost 1 inch wider than Classic Scalextric/SCX.  Each track section is also a little thicker, the slot separation a little wider, and the slot itself a little deeper, all advantages we think.

To give you an idea how Ninco's Track width and curve radii vary from Scalextric's, we have the following pictures

Track Width: Ninco 71/16" Classic Scalextric 61/8" Adding curve borders to Scalextric track gives you a 8 ¼" track width, so carefully consider your needs.

	Curve radius is slightly broader on the Ninco Track than the Scalextric curve sections.
Ninco thoughtfully created an adapter track piece which snaps directly to any section of original Scalextric or SCX track.  If you have an existing classic Scalextric/SCX track you can add Ninco track pieces by using a pair of these adapters.	NIN10110 1 pr. Adapter Tracks $16.95
