Due to customer concerns about the open panel in the right front fender of this particular CMC model we did some research. During this research we found photos of this car in the book pictured above (Mercedes-Benz W196 Last of the Silver Arrows) showing the car during the Monza race in 1955 racing without the right front fender panel installed, so it does look like CMC got it right.

Probably no other model has had such a lasting and sensational impact on the history of Ferrari and the
popularity of the Scuderia as the 250 GT SWB. More than 40 years later, this model still stands
out, thanks to its graceful contour, flowing line management, and harmonious proportionality.
Indeed it belongs in the most desired vintage cars.
What with its unique quality, this legendary Berlinetta mediates superbly between being a roadworthy
car and an excellent racing car. In actuality, the Berlinetta set a historic record in terms of
the number of victories clinched by a single model during its ten years of active participation in car
racing.
CMC has dedicated itself to reproducing the luxury (Lusso) edition of the 250 GT SWB – based on a
street-version built in 1961. The all-metal model is composed of 1,141 parts and it is completely
hand-assembled. Every detail of the body, as designed by Sergio Pininfarina, was scaled down
exactly and presented in a miniature form that is true to the original. Named after its builder,
the Colombo V twelve engine is a feast for the eyes as well. Look at it and you can almost hear
the revving and roaring sound of a powerful twelve-cylinder. Now if you wish, you can fantasize
jumping into the model’s bucket seat and waiting for the command "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

CMC has finally released the 1/18 scale Mercedes Benz Racing Transporter replica. This you remember is the awesome high speed blue transporter the Mercedes team used to rush their Grand Prix cars to the various races. This model of course will be large and extremely detailed. The transporter does not include the pictured car (CMC042, I believe) but any one of CMC06, CMC041 or CMC042 will fit. (The limited run of this vehicle in 1/43 scale has sold out.)

Steerable front wheels with IR brake drums with indicated vents and angled cooler slits in the outer drums. Even the chrome gas cap on the fuel tank can be lifted open!
